The people of India are largely the descendants of immigration across the Himalayas . It is still debated wether any native race evolved on Indian Soil. India is Multi Racial, Multi Languages and Multi Religions country. Very rich in culture, traditions, customes and festivals.
“TEEJ FESTIVAL” is a colourful festival ,, which is celebrated in North and Central India with full excitement. TEEJ FESTIVAL in JAIPUR CITY, RAJASTHAN STATE (INDIA) is worth seeing.
A large Teej procession winds its way through the old city in Jaipur, in which a brightly adorned idol of Goddess Durga is placed on a palanquin. Thousands of devotes are part of this procession which is carried out for two consecutive days. Fairs are one of the prime highlights of the festival, which are frequented by women, both married and unmarried who are dressed in colorful clothes and jewellery. The fairs have a number of Foods Stalls and Handicrafts Shops and comprises of singing, dancing, devotional music and many other attractions, such as: Swings Mehandi Song and Dance performances by folk artists. Handicrafts, Toys and other regionally famous items like as Sweets and other eatables in Kids Zone. Puppet Show is the main attraction for Indian and Foreigners.

On the eve of TEEJ FESTIVAL , ladies decorate their hands and legs with designer Mehndi (Heena). There is also competition of Mehndi designing in different groups.
